Then I will truly begin to learn. What is the difference between Shaolin Kenpo and Tracy Kenpo? I know that Master Tracy studied under Mr. Parker but we teach the traditional style of Kenpo and Mr. Parker's is the American style? If you can enlighten me I would appreciate it.

Comments: Great Grand Master, Professor Jose spoke of you and your family often with the warmest of words and energy. He was always grateful that you and Mrs. Castro had made him part of your family. Some of his fondest memories were with you and your family as everyone grew up. I would like everyone to know, that have not been as fortunate as I have been to have Professor Genaro Jose in their lives on a daily basis, what a lose this is, not only to our system, but to his students. He gratefully accepted many different roles for each and every one of us. Whether it was father, friend, brother, voice of reason or mentor, he truly enjoyed helping each of us find our own unique path up the mountain. One of his most special gifts, next to the size of his heart, was the way he made each of us feel that we were the most important project that he had on his mind. There was always more than enough of him for everyone. For me, he was my Mentor. A light that never dimmed. Always understanding of my crazy schedule and always there for me. He took my schedule each month and scheduled classes before work and later after work. It didn’t matter if we really practiced Kenpo that day or we had lessons of life. He taught both and felt that brought balance. Professor always gave without wanting. We talked a lot about this day, but it came way to soon. He is such a huge part of my life that today I feel lost. He always said that he would continue to live within all of his students.

The legend of the CHINESE DRAGON: Its benevolence signifies greatness, goodness and blessings. The Chinese DRAGON symbolizes power and excellence, valiancy and boldness, heroism and perseverance, nobility and divinity. A dragon overcomes obstacles until success is his. He is energetic, decisive, optimistic, intelligent and ambitious. The Chinese Dragon is often seen as a symbol of divine protection and vigilance. It is regarded as the Supreme Being amongst all creatures. It has the ability to live in the seas, fly up into the heavens and coil up in the land in the form of mountains. Being the divine mythical animal, the Dragon can ward off wandering evil spirits, protect the innocent and bestow safety to all that hold his emblem. The Chinese Dragon is looked upon as the ultimate symbol of Good Fortune. Professor Genaro Jose is the Dragon and has been our Good Fortune. I love you with all my heart Professor.

Comments: To the Castro family. I'm trying to write down how I feel of the passing of Roy Castro. As I try to write how I feel, I keep seeing the vision of a happy and fun person. I can still see Roy sitting around a table with the family and making everyone laugh. He had such a great sense of humor which would always bring smiles and laughter. As a 16 year old, in 1964, I was honored to be able to see him awarded his black belt. I will always remember Roy. Our prayers are with him, and our prayers to the Castro family.
